Welcome to the Centre for Collaboration in Community Connectedness

The Centre is a collective of researchers, practitioners, policy makers, funders and residents collaborating to deliver an ambitious vision for better connected communities across the UK.

What we do

We gather evidence on what is needed to build stronger and more resilient communities with the shared goal of improved policymaking and practice. Our approach is community-led, ensuring that the voices of local communities are at the heart of the research programme, and that resources are mobilised to meet community needs.

Why we do it

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live in a community where people:

  • can build good relationships with their neighbours and with local services
  • have a sense of pride and belonging
  • have access to resources and opportunities that support them to participate in civic life
  • can use these opportunities to improve their lives and neighbourhoods.

Our vision

Our vision is to establish the Centre to transform policy and practice and develop connected communities across the UK.

Our partners

Partners in universities, policy, practice, business, civil society organisations and communities have co-created the Centre, which will act as a hub for collaboration across disciplines, sectors and places. The Centre is rooted in community-led investigation and delivers co-produced and theoretically informed research.
