Sarah is our Centre Director. She is responsible for the leadership of the research programme, the management of resources and the sustainability of the Centre. Sarah has oversight of all activity taking place within our Centre, and plays an active role in maintaining our partnerships and stakeholder relationships.

Sarah is also a Professor of Social Research and Dean of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at Sheffield Hallam University. She has extensive experience in researching and evaluating community-led initiatives, focusing on neighbourhood regeneration and place-based approaches to tackling disadvantage.

Sarah’s publications centre on themes of co-production in public services, community participation and engagement, and the outcomes of place-based and community-led approaches. She has led large-scale evaluations of neighbourhood and community programmes, and published on approaches to the evaluation of complex social interventions.
