Áine is from the Market community and is Chairwoman of the Market Development Association. She has been involved in community development work from a young age, having accessed MDA services and volunteered with the organisation, eventually joining its management committee. Áine is involved in campaigns around urban planning and social housing, and has run several programmes for the organisation around community education and health & wellbeing. As Chairwoman of the MDA, Áine is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation and staff management.
