Community Embedded Researcher
Franca is a Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University, collaborating with the Brixton Project. She has worked across academia and the charity sector, using qualitative and participatory methods to support communities in their social justice efforts. Her PhD examined how welcome and belonging for migrants is mobilised at community and institutional levels through the City of Sanctuary award scheme. At the Young Foundation, she co-authored a range of reports on issues affecting communities across the UK and while working at the Youth Endowment Fund, she helped set up the Peer Action Collective (PAC).
