Co-Investigator & Lead for Innovation in Community Engagement and Partnerships
Kathryn is a Co-Investigator, and lead for Implementation Unit 3: Innovation in Community Engagement and Partnerships. which focuses on our Community Catapult sites. Kathryn is also part of our Leadership Team.
Kathryn is a Professor of Social Science and Health at Queen’s University Belfast, and the founder and Director of Queen’s Communities and Place. Her work has involved the development of a successful place-based community academic partnership with a pilot community in the Market area of South Belfast. Kathryn leads a team of 11 staff who work in the Market and other working-class communities across inner city Belfast, partnering with residents and community anchor organisations to co-produce responses to challenges around health, education and the social economy.
