Co-investigator, lead for Innovation in Community Engagement and Partnerships
Kathy is a Professor of Social Science and Health at Queen’s University Belfast, and the founder and Director of Queen’s Communities and Place. Kathy’s work has involved the development of a successful place-based community academic partnership with a pilot community in the Market area of South Belfast. She leads a team of 11 staff who work in the Market and other working-class communities across inner city Belfast, partnering with residents and community anchor organisations to co-produce responses to challenges around health, education and the social economy.
