Sarah is a Professor of Social Research and Dean of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at Sheffield Hallam University. She has extensive experience in researching and evaluating community-led initiatives, focusing on neighbourhood regeneration and place-based approaches to tackling disadvantage. Her publications centre on themes of co-production in public services, community participation and engagement, and the outcomes of place-based and community-led approaches. She has led large-scale evaluations of neighbourhood and community programmes, and published on approaches to the evaluation of complex social interventions.
